The codes above are separate inputs, not parts of a longer string. HESOYAM restores health and armour, adds $250,000 and repairs your current vehicle. INEEDSOMEHELP does the same thing. AEZAKMI freezes your current wanted level; use ASNAEB first if you want zero stars. VQIMAHA raises vehicle skills, not diving skill. MGHXYRM brings a thunderstorm, while AFZLLQLL is sunny weather.
PS5, PS4 and Xbox cheats
These are controller sequences for the Definitive Edition on modern consoles. Press them during play, using the D-pad for directions. Each entry is complete.
- Health, armour and $250,000. PlayStation: R1, R2, L1, Cross, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up. Xbox: RB, RT, LB, A, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up.
- Weapon set 1. PlayStation: R1, R2, L1, R2, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up. Xbox: RB, RT, LB, RT, Left, Down, Right, Up, Left, Down, Right, Up.
- Clear wanted level. PlayStation: R1, R1, Circle, R2, Up, Down, Up, Down, Up, Down. Xbox: RB, RB, B, RT, Up, Down, Up, Down, Up, Down.

Older PS3 and Xbox 360 ports may swap shoulder-button mappings. For more controller sequences, use the PlayStation list or Xbox list for your exact edition.
Android and iPhone
In the mobile Definitive Edition, tap the mini-map, then go to Options, Accessibility, Enter Cheat Code. Enter one PC text code at a time. The older mobile release may use a different method; these menu steps are for the Definitive Edition. The mobile edition guide shows the entry screen.
If a code doesn't work
First check that you're in gameplay rather than the pause menu, and type the code without spaces. Some effects were removed from the Definitive Edition: the old invisible-cars code XICWMD and full aiming from vehicles OUIQDMW are examples. BAGUVIX is a classic near-infinite-health code, not the health, armour and money code; reports about its remaster support differ by platform and build, so don't treat it as a guaranteed Definitive Edition cheat.
Save to a separate slot before using cheats, and don't overwrite the clean save afterward. Rockstar warns that cheats can disrupt scripts or saved games; the Definitive Edition can also disable achievements or trophies for the affected save. Riot and pedestrian cheats are particularly risky to keep in a continuing game.
