GTA 5 Cheats for PS5, Xbox and PC That Still Work

GTA 5 cheats still work on modern consoles and PC, but they work only where Rockstar intended them to: Story Mode.
They cannot be used in GTA Online, there is no legitimate unlimited-money code, and the phone numbers scattered through cheat guides do not mean GTA 5 has an official mobile version.
With those three pieces of internet housekeeping finished, the actual codes are pleasantly straightforward.
The quickest platform answer
Rockstar’s current GTA 5 product page lists PlayStation, Xbox and PC editions, not Android or iOS. Websites offering a “GTA 5 mobile APK” are therefore not offering an official Rockstar release. The game’s phone cheats use Michael, Franklin or Trevor’s phone inside Story Mode.
Save before activating cheats
GTA 5 handles cheats more gently than Vice City or San Andreas. Cheats temporarily disable trophies and achievements during the current play session rather than permanently poisoning the save.
Restarting the game and loading a save restores achievement eligibility. Some cheat effects also disappear when the character dies or the save is reloaded.
Even so, save first. Cheats can be denied during missions or restricted situations, and reloading is the cleanest way to remove an effect that will not switch off.
The current limitations and entry methods are documented in this GTA 5 platform reference.
Entering phone cheats on PS5 and Xbox
Enter GTA 5 Story Mode.
Open the character’s phone.
Open Contacts and bring up the dial pad.
Enter the complete number, including the
1-999prefix.Call the number and wait for the confirmation message.
Phone cheats work on the modern PS4, PS5, Xbox One and Xbox Series versions. They can also be used on PC.
Entering cheats on PC
Press the tilde key to open the command console, type the word from the PC column and press Enter. Keyboard layouts vary, so the key may appear as ~, ` or the key directly below Escape.
If the console key is awkward on your keyboard, use the in-game phone number instead.

Invincibility lasts five minutes. It is not a permanent god mode, so entering it before leaving the room to make coffee is an unusually inefficient use of immortality.

If one of these codes is rejected, the problem may be the missing prerequisite rather than the number.
There is no GTA 5 money cheat
GTA 5 does not contain a cash, unlimited-money or free-GTA$ cheat. It also has no code for spawning a Rhino tank.
Videos claiming otherwise generally show PC mods, edited footage or GTA Online scams. A modded single-player game is not evidence that Rockstar included a working console cheat.
These cheats do not work in GTA Online
Every code above is for Story Mode. GTA Online does not accept them, and players should not replace them with exploits, injected software or paid “mod menus.”
Rockstar uses BattlEye on supported PC online play and says the system monitors GTA Online sessions. More importantly, giving an unknown program control of the game or Rockstar account is a poor bargain for imaginary currency.
If your purpose is harmless single-player chaos, Story Mode already provides plenty of it.
Why the phone method is the best reference
Controller combinations remain useful, especially on older versions, but one phone-number table is easier to verify and works across current PlayStation, Xbox and PC editions.
It also avoids the most common formatting mistake in GTA cheat guides: presenting an Xbox X as though it were the PlayStation Cross button.
Save, enter the number, wait for the confirmation and reload when finished. That is all the ceremony GTA 5 requires.
